Keine Kompromisse beim Asylrecht! Stoppt die GEAS-Reform!
Abschottung, Abschreckung, Abschiebung, Lager, Sterbenlassen an den Außengrenzen und im Mittelmeer – so sieht die Politik Europas längst aus. Nun hat der Rat der EU die Reform des “Gemeinsamen Europäischen Asylsystems” (GEAS) und damit eine der schärfsten Asylreformen seit Jahrzehnten beschlossen. Die GEAS-Reform würde die ohnehin schon rassistische und tödliche Politik der EU verstärken. Es droht die Abschaffung von dem, was vom Recht auf Asyl noch übrig ist. Schweigen und Gleichgültigkeit verstehen politische Entscheidungsträger*innen als Zustimmung. Doch wir nehmen das nicht hin und sagen: Nicht in unserem Namen! Entsetzen und Ohnmacht verwandeln wir in Wut, Solidarität und Widerstand.
Für das Recht zu kommen und zu bleiben! Für ein gutes, selbstbestimmtes Leben für alle Menschen! Bringen wir die Festung Europa Stein für Stein zum Einsturz

No compromise on asylum law! Stop the CEAS reform!

Isolation, deterrence, deportation, camps, leaving people to die at the external borders and in the Mediterranean – this is what Europe’s policy has already looked like for a long time. Now the Council of the EU has decided on the reform of the “Common European Asylum System” (CEAS) and thus on one of the most drastic asylum reforms in decades. The GEAS reform would reinforce the EU’s already racist and deadly policies. It threatens to abolish what is left of the right to asylum. Silence and indifference is what policy makers understand as consent. But we do not accept this and say: Not in our name! We transform shock and powerlessness into anger, solidarity and resistance.
For the right to come and stay! For a good, self-determined life for all people! Let’s bring down fortress Europe brick by brick.
